No Hetero Fabulations: Quirky Kids, Robots & Conquerors

101 mins

In DRAG MAMA, a schoolboy just wants to wear a dress despite his teacher’s disapproval and his dreams come true when his Very Drag Mother steps in. In CARINA, we watch as an 8-year-old rock n’ roller struggles with the realization that she might have seen a new teacher while snooping through her dad’s erotic magazine. PHYSICAL ATTRACTION takes us back to the early 80’s where a teenager’s life is flipped upside down by an encounter with a rising musical sensation named Madonna. From broken-hearted dreamers to experimental lesbian conquests, these short films tell stories of queers and quirky kids from the past, present, future, and the occasional fantastical dream sequence. Curated by Rebecca Lavoie.
