Gigola, Gigola, Gigola – who wouldn’t love to be in her (men’s) shoes? She’s butch, sexy, has the pimp world at her feet, money in her pocket, and the ladies lining up. Georgia, alias Gigola, runs the Parisian female gigolo scene circa 1960. With her fashionable style and cool attitude, femmes swoon and wealthy cougars shower her with gifts of cars and jewelry. Her nights consist of sexual liaisons, drinks at Chez Moune, and the occasional consorts with criminals. But a tragic love affair from the past still haunts her days. When her demons catch up to Gigola, she is forced to take a closer look at her reality: at her alter ego and what she really wants from life. Based on director Charpentier’s previously censored 1972 novel Gigola.
