My Last Round is a powerful and poignant drama about a boxing champion, Octavio, who falls in love with Hugo, a shy young kitchen assistant. Set in a small working class town in Chile where homosexuality is taboo, the two men beat the odds by coming together and forming a passionate and tender bond, but they know their relationship can never be accepted in their community. When Octavio is hit with the news that one more boxing match could be fatal, he gives up the sport and the couple starts their lives over in the city of Santiago. As Octavio struggles to adapt to a life without boxing, tensions rise when a female coworker makes romantic advances on Hugo. Unable to handle another emotional blow, Octavio is driven back to the macho world he knows best, and steps into the ring for one last fight.
